FW Florals

A Sussex based florist that creates bespoke blooms for weddings and events, specialising in rustic, country weddings and events, that are carefully curated to each couple.

The Challenge

As FW Florals grew, the business needed a more mature and more established brand. It was important that the branding still reflected Emma’s (the founder of FW Florals) personality, whilst also portraying the high quality offering that Emma provides.

The brand also needed to reflect the style of the flowers Emma creates, with a rustic and natural feel.

The rebrand needed to be rolled out across a brand new website, business cards, clothing and event assets.

A more mature rebrand

To help the brand feel more mature and established we moved away from the illustrated font to a more sophisticated slab serif, that still had plenty of character. 

We kept the illustrated leaf motif as this was a great way to bring life to the logo, but incorporated it into the mark itself to create a sleek primary logo.

In order to give the brand plenty of versatility we also created a stamp variation of the logo which would work well on social platforms. 

Maintaining a rustic feel

Whilst the core feel of the brand was a premium and mature style with a burst of personality, we also wanted to find a way to communicate the rustic country style that is Emma’s speciality.

So we applied the logo to a stamp which Emma adds to any bouquets or delivery methods for her flowers, each time the logo is used will be a little different than the time before. The uneven nature of using a stamp gives a rustic feel.

A simple, stylish website

To increase FW Florals reach I built a 4 page website using Squarespace, customising the design to create a website that was unique to Emma. It was important to keep a balance between style and simplicity with the website, so that Emma could easily update the site herself with new content and updates to her gallery as she needed.

As a final part of the project I provided a week of after care for the website with walk-through tutorials on how to update the content.
